Growing Community

Somewhere along the South Circular, tucked away behind the derelict Grove Tavern pub, lies the Grove Community Garden. Much like a seed, we started out very small (but mighty and full of potential!) From then on, we've grown into a thriving space where people can come to grow in many senses of the word, sharing knowledge, generating fresh vegetables or simply hanging out. Good for Everyone

We're keen to see the space put to good use, with the intention of securing the site as a community asset. In the long term, our plan is to continue to offer resources and support for the local community in a nurturing space - with the cooperation of the landowner. The end goal would be to turn the entire site (including the derelict and dilapidated pub building) into a community centre.

Where is the garden based?

We're based where Lordship Lane meets the South Circular, SE22 8LF. The garden is tucked away behind the skatepark but don't be shy - look both ways when you cross the concrete and come give us a shout.
